REDUCTION OF HOLES AFTER EARRINGS
It happens that we do not want to wear earrings in a particular place or hole has been stretched causing a risk of ear rapture. There may be several reasons, e.g. wearing too thick or too heavy earrings, mechanical rupture.
Unwanted holes after earrings will not disappear by themselves. Even though tissue within the hole gets covered (only tiny holes) when earrings are not put on for a longer time, there will always be a mark in place of a hole. Dr. Maciej Rogala removes such marks and stimulates healing and thus closing of ruptured hole.
What is the procedure?
Surgery is performed using a laser called Fotona. The laser beam in a controlled manner damages the tissue thus stimulating its regeneration. Small wounds that are created after procedure quickly heal. Holes get closed.
One of the strengths of laser treatment is that wounds are healing nicely, leaving no scars.
How long is the procedure?
Treatment time depends on the number and size of areas. Reduction of a small hole takes several minutes.
Does healing of the hole ruptures hurt?
The treatment is not too painful. Usually there is no need for anesthesia. If necessary, a special refrigerator would be used, directing the stream of cold air to the area to be treated.
How many treatments are needed?
The number of necessary treatments is a very individual thing depending on the size of the hole and the body’s regenerative capacity of the patient. It happens that one treatment is enough, but it is usually necessary to perform several treatments at intervals of about 30 days.
Is it possible to re-pierce the treated area?
Yes. Many people were admitted in our clinic raptured ear lobes which would lead to a complete damage of the skin, for example due to wearing too heavy earrings. To prevent this, clients can undergo the healing procedure. Once the tissue is fully healed, piercing can be done again.
What areas the treatment is performed?
The laser can be applied on each piece of the body, so the hole can be removed from such areas as:
- upper and lower lip
- intimate parts
Follow basic rules of hygiene to prevent wound infections. Your doctor will prescribe a special cream to induce and speed up the healing process.
- pregnancy and lactation
- blood clotting disorders
- cancer diseases
- tendency to keloid
